People should seek their inner natural beauty. For that reason, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery in general.?

Obviously cases of accidents and deformity are exceptions. However, the idea of risking one's life to improve abs or remove wrinkles is absurd if not disgusting. Possibly movie stars and models are exceptions, but even there what they have inside is what moves people except people who are obsessed with some oppressive model of physical perfection.

We may have progressed past our approval of models who look like they are starving themselves or who live on speed and cocaine.

Have you seen Judy Davis in the Judy Garland movie? To see how little Judy Garland was brutally used by the studios is shocking. Of course this type of abuse couldn't still remain in our enlightened age even among ballerinas and girl gymnasts, now could it?People should seek their inner natural beauty. For that reason, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery in general.?
I totally agree with you. A person can be beautiful on many ways, but the one we should be looking after is the beauty that comes from withinPeople should seek their inner natural beauty. For that reason, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery in general.?
interesting points of view, but what is your question? do you have one?
true beauty is only within.

Is there any natural remedy for blackheads?....these cosmetic products are all useless...?

Cosmetic brushes??? Natural or synthetic???

What brushes are better quality? Natural hair bristles or synthetic hair bristles?

Also what is a good drugstore mascara that will make my eyelashes glossy (like the ';Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara'; but cheaper)?

Thanks a bunch!Cosmetic brushes??? Natural or synthetic???
They can be the same quality both natural and synthetic but you'll want to use diff types of brushes for differnt uses.

Ex: synthetic for foundation so it doesn't get icky.

  • Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?

Since having a baby in 2005, I have become keenly aware of all the unnecessary chemical exposure we have in the normal course of our lives. I have made many changes to my family's diet, methods for cleaning, laundering, etc. One area that is of particular interest to me is moving toward all natural cosmetic solutions. I have found several things that work well for me and I am considering trying to make and sell a small line of natural bath and beauty products.

I'd like to know before investing significant time and money how many people are out there that are also interested in this and would want to try my products. Most of the things I use on myself and my child are comprised of essential oils in a base as well as mixed with edible household ingredients for cosmetic/beauty purposes (hair and skin cleansing and moisture, makeup remover, skin exfoliation, bath perfumes/soaks).

Who else is interest in this kind of alternative to standard bath/beauty solutions? Feedback appreciated.Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
I definitely would be! I think the only thing that may put me off is if they were really expensive, but if you can keep the price at a reasonable level then two thumbs up!Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
Yeah that sounds great, but for a reasonable price, some of those all natural products are just soo expensive that though I would love them I cannot afford them.
    I am...

I want to work for organic/natural cosmetic/health care industry. what major should I take in college?

10 points for best question. Please enable your yahoo Id or email so that I could ask more in the case I am interesting in ur question.

ThanksI want to work for organic/natural cosmetic/health care industry. what major should I take in college?
Biology. Since it is the study of living things, it will work for an organic/natural cosmetic career since you will be familiar with plants and nature. If you go into the healthcare industry, biology is the perfect kickoff for medical school, or for you to decide if you want to go into nursing or anything like that.

Are 100% organic, natural cosmetics really that safe???

They might claim they do not contain any ';carcinogenic'; sulphates, parabens, etc BUT how sure are we that the natural herbs/extracts themselves are not just as bad???

For example, i am looking at a hand cream which contains Yarrow. Yarrow, after prolonged use can increase the damage the sun does to your skin. It also contains a toxic element (although in tiny quanitities).

Are they really safer than chemical cosmetics?? And are chemical cosmetics REALLY that bad for us??

    What would you recommend??

Thanks for your help and comments!!!Are 100% organic, natural cosmetics really that safe???
They are as long as you know there's nothing in them you might be allergic to. Try Bare Minerals. It's what it is, just minerals of natural coloring. Are 100% organic, natural cosmetics really that safe???
Yes, sometimes alternative ingredients can cause side effects just as chemical ones do (although we must remember that even so called ';non-organic'; stuff has to come from a natural product at some point). However, not all ';organic'; cosmetics are safe and may contain baddies such as Parabens and Titanium Dioxide (these are just two ingredients I know of contained in most non-organic and a many organic cosmetics that may cause serious health problems over a period of time).
we humans are made from the earth. our bodies contain things readily found in nature...in plants, other animals, the earth itself.

all things that come in contact with your tissues (skin, eyes, hair, nails, lips..ect) are somewhat absorbed by your skin. for example, lotions are an obvious one. not so obviously, things like toothpaste chemicals such as fluoride can be found in your bloodstream after being absorbed into your mucous membranes of you mouth.

your body doesnt know how to breakdown foreign chemicals that arent organically made and so these things are stored in your tissues (muscles, organs) and cause toxicity and can possibly (depending on the type of chemical...) cause cancer, growths, abnomalities of your tissues.

some ';natural'; ingredients can also be detrimental to your body. generally your bodies are much better at breaking ';natural'; or oganic compounds down, therefore they can exit the body and not build up to cause the damage that it may cause in large quantities.

unfortunatly most research on these topics is very bias by one side or the other, so many things you read may not be true at all.

so when it comes down to it, it is your call.

also: think about what happens to the cosmetics after you have them... most natural cosmetics are much more bio-degradeable than the ';regular'; counterparts. the companies that make the natural cosmetics are more likely to be committed to the earth (packaging, inks, production) than those that sell regular cosmetics.
You must be very careful about claims of organic and natural - neither are necessarily safe. Eg you can get nettles which have no pesticides sprayed on them, but they are not safe. Snake venom is natural but obviously not safe.

I have a number of articles you are welcome to read to see just how bad chemicals used in the cosmetic industry really are. Quite horrifying really! I was under the impression that if things were sold to the community at large then they must be safe - how wrong I was. Absolutely disgusting.

There is only one brand that I know of which is safe to use. If you are interested in finding out more or would like to have a look at some research please email me at leanne27@aapt.net.au and I would be happy to help.

Cosmetic Beauty is pretty and can look really hot but...it is always cooler to wake up next to a pretty face instead of having your girl put hers on. And makeup can be gross so natural beauty is way hotter and think of it this way however hot a natural beauty is she is ten times hotter with a little make up. But in the end no make up is the way to go.Okay guys-what's the deal- natural beauty or cosmetic enhancement?

After vaginoplasty cosmetic surgery, any maintananece herbal/ natural treatments?

I 've had a vaginoplasty tightening surgury almost 1 week ago. Is there any maintenance herbal pills/ointments/creams/ sitz bath preparation to maintain the vagina tight/ taut/ intact after the healing process of 6-8weeks? My GYN said that he did not recommend Kegals exercises right now. I am sore with burning and discomfort in the area.Little post-op verbal instructions was given. When I asked in the recovery room for any written post-op instructions, they said there was none available. What vitamin/ minerals/ foods is recommended for healing after surgery? After vaginoplasty cosmetic surgery, any maintananece herbal/ natural treatments?
All the unnatural things lead to sufferings

one must satisfy oneself with what ever is granted

natural anti septic and healer are

Calendula - mother Tincture can be applied locally and taken through mouth

also calendula cream is available for local application

then Echinecea -mother Tincture 10 drops in water thrice a day

if taken no anti biotic is requiredAfter vaginoplasty cosmetic surgery, any maintananece herbal/ natural treatments?
libia reduction ........wow u must have been loose im sure u feel alot better can i b the 1st
Well I am not sure about that, but after I had an episiotamy, the Tucks medicated pads were a life saver. They sooth the burning etc. They are for hemorrhoids, but the hospital gave them to me after each of my kids, its worth a shot, and the generic work just as well. I put it on and left it there for a while, obviously, do not put them up inside you.

Also the little bottle, I cant remember what it is called that you fill with warm water and gently spray instead of wiping, then pat dry, I would think it would help since it is an incision in the same area.
I just looked at a website that gave me a description and pictures of the procedure you had done.

Don't you think that after having something like that done to the most intimate part of your body you should be asking your doctor these questions?
Vitamin E supplements and a good Multivitamin is all I recommend anyone take after surgery; these will help with healing. Do not take any other medications without first clearing it with your Gyn. Apply neosporin to the perineal area for the first few weeks. Apply the blue can of Dermaplast as needed for pain ( call your local pharmacy stores to see who has this non prescription spray in stock) Do not take tub baths for the first 10 days. Tylenol can also be taken as needed for pain. Do not insert ANYTHING vaginally for 6-8wks. Leukorrhea is quite common after this procedure, but if you notice a foul smell contact your health provider.

    Best of luck to you!

Is cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?

they want to look more beautifulIs cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?
of course it isIs cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?
    what nature Gives its best
    It depends.

Some people get corrective cosmetic surgery for personal reasons. Most people don't get it overdone like some Hollywood figures, like Michael Jackson.

I'd say it's a matter of personal preference and if one can afford it since most health insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery.
I do not suggest getting cosmetic surgery. You will regret it later. Looking into the mirror and not recognizing yourself isn't fun- it's devastating. Plus it's really hard to undo. Eventually you'll be happier with who you are.
If it makes you feel better about yourself, than a little bit of cosmetic surgery is just fine. Mental health is very important, so making yourself feel better is beneficial.

I believe that those people who keep going back for more surgery, like Michael Jackson, need mental counseling because they are simply addicted to the surgeries and will end up with serious health problems.
They say that everyone is beautiful, just the way you are, without any facial intervents or surgery!
I wouldn't even consider it unless it were reconstructive surgery. And I'm not talking a tummy-tuck or breast lift, I'm talking horrible accident injured beyond recognition...
i believe that nobody comes to earth in a perfect package. everyone has its own flaws and imperfections. definitely, natural beauty is better than the fake one.
everyone want to looks beautiful, im not suggest cosmetic surgery.. I love what Im, I want everyone love me for what I am, cosmetic surgery make u not be ur self anymore...

I ve client @my office, her mother want if she is have a cosmetic surgery then she can married a rich man, after that you know what hers son and daugther... looks not like their mother... because their mother already had a cosmetic surgery

i suggest you have a cosmetic surgery if you had an accident that made your skin damage
I totally agree why do you need to change yourself. Everyone knows there not perfect. Why go on a never ending quest to look perfect. Your going to spend your whole life doing it and your never going to get the perfect results. If we get cosmetic surgery we wont be ourselvesanymore. We will all look airbrushed with no imperfections. Nobody will be unique and have there own true self.

  • Green/Natural Cosmetic Samples?

I'm looking for online stores that offer green/natural cosmetic samples. Do you know of any? Thanks!Green/Natural Cosmetic Samples?
Try everydayminerals.com, they give free samples. Green/Natural Cosmetic Samples?
Hi, many mineral makeup companies are natural bc they use all natural ingredients. some of them go a step futher to ensure they collect such ingredients in an earth-friendly manner.

and almost all of them give out samples for a very small price. Pure anada is promising and offers the best coverage out of all those that i've tried and did not cause as much shine. EDM is cheaper in terms of the price, and the coverage is not as good, but still very good for the price (just use concealer) -- and use a good primer to stop the oilies!

Does anyone recommend a good african american cosmetic line that give a natural look?

In Mary Kay we have many different colors and foundations to match anyone. Go to my wesite and do a virtual make-over. It is a lot of fun!!

Vickie HartzDoes anyone recommend a good african american cosmetic line that give a natural look?
Iman is good- she is a supermodel who created a makeup line for women of all colors after learning that when she would model she would have to bring her own makeups because they did not have any for her skin tone. Expensive, but good :DDoes anyone recommend a good african american cosmetic line that give a natural look?
Bare minerals. I use this, but I am not black. It comes in many skin tones though, It is by far the best makeup I have ever used.
For foundations and concealers, the lines that I feel have quality products *and* good colors for darker skin shades are MAC and Becca. Lines like Iman might be good but I haven't used their products to vouch for quality.

If you can't find a good match at cosmetic counters or at the drugstore, you might want to consider pro lines like Cinema Secrets or Graftobian, both of which are *excellent* in quality, both offer great coverage, both cost less than department store foundations (a PLUS!) and most importantly work with different undertones. I love both lines and feel their quality is equal to or superior to what you'd find in department stores. I've supplied links to both lines for you to check their color ranges.

If you want to know what lines are good for color (blush, eye shadows) then I'd say MAC is a really good choice.
    Mary Kay

You can check Avon...they have a great line of products for all skin tones...
Get yourself an African American ';Avon Lady.'; Seriously, she can help you with everything. Look up ';Avon'; in the yellow pages, and ask for an African American. They are great!!Good luck!

Is cosmetic surgery is risky today. Many people are against it N not consider it natural. What wrong in it if i?

it making you happy. Is cosmetic surgery is risky today. Many people are against it N not consider it natural. What wrong in it if i?
No one else has an opinion that matters, where this kind of surgery is concerned. However, it is wise to consider potential side effects and bad outcomes. If living with our current imperfections is so unpleasant we'd undergo surgery, would scarring be survivable?

Limited or surface changes are safer than invasive procedures.

Only my opinion though, which counts for nothing when it's someone elses face at stake.

  • I have serious acne problem.... Can anyone out there suggest natural products as im not keen with cosmetics???

I dont want to hide my face with thick foundation, pls help.....as i want get rid of the scars too.....I have serious acne problem.... Can anyone out there suggest natural products as im not keen with cosmetics???
    1. stop eating sour, spicy, and fermented food.

    2. 1 tbsp coriander seed powder, 1 tbsp sandalwood powder, 1 pinch nutmeg powder, mix in water to make a paste then apply on the pimples. It will make pimples go away, as well as the marks left behind by pimples.

another tip from the same show is.

    1. take 1 tbsp of Trifla powder before sleeping.

    2. 1/4 cup multani mitti, 2 tbsp white sandalwood powder, i pinch turmeric, 1 tbsp coriander seed powder(very fine powder). Mix them well.Mix all the above things with a bit of water to make a paste and apply on your face after taking steam.....after 20-25 minutes when the face pack is dry wash ur face with cold waterI have serious acne problem.... Can anyone out there suggest natural products as im not keen with cosmetics???
For natural home remedies, use sandalwood(chandan) or tulsi leaves,if you are using sandalwood, make a paste with water and apply it on your face, keep it for 20 mins and wash off,or a better solution would be grind a few tulsi leaves, making a paste, and apply this and leave it on for 20 mins, then wash off,do this everyday, tulsi is a natural way to keep the acne from erupting, within one-two weeks you will see a drastic change.

To get rid of the scars, first of all, never pick on your acne, this leaves scars that are difficult to erase, while the scars of the acne,if untouched, can be cleared.Use pudhina(mint leaves) ,again, grind a few leaves and apply it,or even better is using jaiphal(nutmeg),make a paste with water, and apply and leave it on at night,it keeps the skin cool, and also erases the scars, within two weeks time.Anything that you try for quick relief will be temporary,so even though it will take 2-3 weeks,in the end you will see it works.I know what a nightmare acne can be,relax, with age,it also fades off and stops erupting.

Good luck,I hope it'll help you.

I did too, but now, i wash my face 3 times a day with Clearasil bar soap and use alcohol on a cotton ball to go over my whole face.

After that at night, before bed, I put Clearasil lotion, or what ever it is, on my face, let it dry a bit and go to bed.

It worked very well within 3 days for me.
Go to a good homeopath doctor.

U can also use Himalaya's Neem face wash.

Take Himalaya's Neem Capsule twice a day.

    It will surely help.

Is it necessary to have Cosmetic Touch to face the World? Is natural look an important factor ?

~~The natural look is what we should face the world with. But!, it's a pretty scary proposition for me :) I feel totally naked, and not myself at all until I have ';enhanced'; my features.

Therefore with the marvels of science, I can in 15 minutes, take about ten years off my face, and fell so much happier. I think this is just something a guy can never understand. There are very few women who can face the world in their natural state, and not scare people away. :)

Does anyone knowe s a way to heal striae in natural or cosmetic way?

I prefer if there is a natural way to deal with.Does anyone knowe s a way to heal striae in natural or cosmetic way?
    Do you mean stretch marks?

If so, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera are the best and most natural way to help with skin health externally and in many cases, healing damaged skin. Vitamin E creams don't have a very high potency of it, and most companies won't sell a straight vitamin E oil in a high enough concentration because it can build up in your system (if you take too high of a dose) and become toxic over time. That's why you should make sure you aren't taking a supplemental vitamin E at the same time. With Aloe Vera, you can just rub it on whatever areas need the soothing... and you can use a good cup or two a day safely if needed.

One of the best ways for smaller areas of damage (after the bulk of your skin has healed is to take a 400 IU softgel of vitamin E, poke a hole in the side of it (CAREFULLY), spread the oil on your skin, and rub it in like any massage oil. Make sure you use about an equal amount on each area of your face, as you should only do this once a day.

That's your best bet for external use (which is faster to heal the skin), but there are a lot of internal things you can use as well. There's Fish Oil (which I use for my skin problems), Biotin, Silica (available naturally in Horsetail herb), MSM, and Hyaluronic Acid among the most popular items. Different people have different reactions to those different ingredients, so it's hard to say what may help most for you. I've personally taken Biotin (which helps for a lot of people), but it was too powerful for me, so it shows how different people can be.

Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?

I love natural products, but they tend to be quite expensive. If you could pull off natural AND affordable, you'd likely do well.

    Natural home-made cosmetics anyone?

I'd love to try all these wonderful new fluids but I'm afraid of whats in them. Anyone got any great home-made items they use in place of moisturisers (I use essential oils), sun block, mascara, lipstick etc?

    Cheers!

I wouldn't try making my own, but I do know a company that is ALL natural ALL botanical, NO animal by products - and they do extensive testing on people before they market a product - so unlike trying to make my own, I know these ones are safe for me and won't cause reactions or allergies.

It's Arbonne International, and I wouldn't use anything else.

Ever heard of Neways? They make 100% toxic chemical free skin care, cosmetics and hair care -all guaranteed to have safe ingredients for your body. Neways are a market leader in toxic free health care and do not test on animals. Extensive scientific research ensures the best product at the best prices. Off the shelf branded mascara stings my eyes and makes them feel gluggy. The Neways mascara doesn't at all and works wonderfully. The skin care range totally cleared up my acne problems. I am now a complete Neways user from my shampoo and conditioner, sunscreen, makeup and face care. I loved it so much I became a distributor. You will not find the Neways range in retail stores. Cosmetics mess with natural selection?

Tommaso Campenella wrote a utopian book in 1623 called ';The City of the Sun.'; In his utopia the use of cosmetics is a capital crime, because it may lead men to mate with eugenically undesirable women who use makeup to look like something they are not.

Does this argument from so long ago seem valid or not? Does it apply to society today?Cosmetics mess with natural selection?
Is this a homework assignment? Or are you just wondering?

Strictly speaking, it does mess with natural selection. Pure NS theory says that those that are unable to mate will not pass on their genes. In theory, this will cause ';ugliness'; genes to not be passed on.

Problem is, human mating has never been about mating with the person with the most attractive genes. Sure, attractive people get more attention. But, cosmetics or not, history has been filled with plenty of mating.Cosmetics mess with natural selection?

B Never Too Busy To B Beautiful and Lush are both amazing cosmetic companies.

Yes, they are a little expensive but they are stupidly effective, smell fantastic and most importantly (to me anyway) they arent tested on animals. So its well worth it.

Plus, in the case of 'B' stuff, they do shades that you cant find anywhere else, in particular blues, greens and aquamarines.

    Hope this helps.
Well, I don't know any off hand but...why don't you try www.peta2.org it's an excellent enviromental/animal activist website. They have some pretty cool stuff like that.
Yes. Bare Escentuals, also called Bare Minerals. It uses minerals from the earth and is very good. Bare Escentuals can be purchased from QVC which is what I do because if I don't like what I order, I can return it within 30 days and get my money back. You can also view all their products on QVC.

Their products are all natural, not tested on animals and it does wonders for whrinkles, fine lines, large pores.I am looking for a line of cosmetics that are natural and that is good for your skin.?
Have you ever tried mineral foundations? The best one which is more affordable and puriest of all is Everyday Minerals. Check Everydayminerals.com. The company can send you free samples. You just need to pay for shipping, which is about $5. I had all kind of skin problems before. MAC is good but its on the expensive side but if you have the money you should by it. I know b-cuz my mother uses it all the time. Good Luck!!!
Burts Bee's has a good line, checkout health food stores. the body shop has a line as well, but I'm not too keen on their stuff. Remember that drinking water is your best friend for your skin, and then less make-up is always better too!

Where can I buy ALL NATURAL cosmetics?

I'm especially looking for a good concealer with NO chemicals. Must be against animal testing and not mineral makeup as I find the powder concealers don't work as well. Thanks.Where can I buy ALL NATURAL cosmetics?
The best I can tell you is faerie organic. They however are mineral makeup yet they have the best concealer I have ever used hands down. I have lots of purple veins under my eyes and dark circles and this goes on smoothe and covers sooo well. There are many others who feel this way (read the customer reviews at their site). They are adamant about being completley NATURAL, unlike other companies that say they are then coat their products with dimethicone or use parabeans. They are against animal testing. The coverage their makeup offers beats anything I have ever used (I never have to reapply even in extreme heat, and I am oily skinned) Just try it I know you'll love it. They have a free sample kit at their site (you just pay shipping) if you tell them you are interested in the concealer I know they will send you a free sample as well, as they did for me. Check it out! http://www.faerieorganic.comWhere can I buy ALL NATURAL cosmetics?
Try a different mineral make up. Or make your own, that way you determine how heavy the makeup is and what kind of coverage you want. All mineral makeup brands are different and have slightly different formulas. Tru Minerals has great concealer with great coverage, although, I find just layering the foundation where I need it works really well too. Try a healthfood store. Some have great selections of makeup. Hope this helped a bit.
Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful has a brilliant make-up range.

It is entirely vegan, the only purely vegan range on the UK high street, so their website claims. They are completely against animal testing too.

Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?

I'm 14 and have suffered with eczema everywhere even on my face since birth. I would like to be able to wear make-up and cover up the worst areas on my face and cover up spots that i get as well but when I wear foundation it seems to make it worse. I was wondering if it was the harsh chemicals in my make up that was irritating my face and I've been looking for a natural make up /skincare range but so much of the stuff out there claims to be organic but is still full of chemicals. Do you know of any that actually are 100% natural or any that you would recomend??? Please help me :(Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?
Olive oil works well as a moisturizer, just a few drops cover face without being oily. And green tea works to calm skin down.

I don't know too many all natural makeup products. You could look for things with a high amount of zinc oxide (the stuff in diaper rash cream). It sounds crazy but it really helps irritated skin. Other than that I would say you should mix a few drops of foundation with moisturizer that doesn't irritate your skin. You'll be using less and hopefully will cover redness but still keep skin soft. I think mineral foundations will make your skin dry and itchy.Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?
I know it's not make-up but, it tends to help me. Before I go to bed I put on a facial mask made of oat flour, powdered milk and water. I let it dry and then wash it off. It tends to help with itchiness and reduces redness.
Have you tried Bare Minerals mineral make up? It's great for sensitive skin. I'm sure you can google it and read about it. Also.... have you tried kukui oil on your skin? I am sure you have tried a million things.. but this stuff is AMAZING. Give it a try.... oilsofaloha.com is where I get it from. Get the non-scented kukui oil. It will nourish your skin, but won't leave you oily. It can fix a sunburn... cracked hands.... anything.... I had a small spot of eczema that is completely gone with the use of kukui oil.

Does eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?

I try to eat natural, if not organic, then at least washed really well, and I tend to try to eat healthy. I also use natural or organic nail polish, nail polish remover, lip gloss, things of that nature, any type of cosmetics hair products etc.

Does it really make a difference if little things such as your lip gloss and cosmetics are natural, free or carcinogens?

I mean certain things, and yes as a male I still get a manicure/pedicure, and use natural nail polish and natural nail polish remover from honeybeegardens.

I don't think things for women like mascara, if it's natural or not, really matters, because hell, it's mascara, how is it going to get absorbed anywhere?

But things that lie on your skin/nails/lips and stay there for a long time, isn't it important then that the products you use are SAFE?

Even if theyre' not natural, as long as they're ';safe';, or is there no such thing as safe?

Any opinions?Does eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?
every little bit helps its already bad enough we have to breathe the nasty air so go with it my grandma is an organic nut and she looks gorgeous shes 60 and looks about 40 no joke she wears mini skirts and high heels and looks good you wouldnt believe it unless you saw but i say do waht your doing its definetley not going to hurtDoes eating natural, organic and using natural cosmetics/products make a difference healthwise?
natural, or organic things are very important. If we buy the non natural things like Lip stick did you know it is made of pig fat. Now we all should be putting natural thing on our body because if it is a something like Mascara or nail polish or shampoo stuff like that win you toss it away to the dump the liquids form a thing called Leachate which is a deadly poison then it sinks through the ground and into our water supply. But if we use Natural or organic things it if good for our community and for our pigs.

So we should be using Organic or Natural Make-up products. Not pig fat!
    yeah deffinetly

    Synthetic or natural cosmetics?

    Which ones are really better?

Now let me give some information about both:

Synthetic:Mineral oil, talcum powder, aluminum, parabens, even sunscreenexc. Are called carconegic by a lot of people but there is no PROOF for this and what I mean by PROOF is that there where no testing on people, they were done in enormous amounts they were done in petri dishes, fed to the animals. There are no double blind, placebo controlled, published and peer viewed studies.

Which means althougth everyone says they're bad we're not really sure.

It turns out mineral oil, talcum powder and sunscreen are perfectly safe.(It's true.)

    It

Natural are supposed to be healthier for your body but can make makeup fade faster, cause allergic reactions, irritation, are mostly hype cosmetic companies use to sell products.

    What do you think?

EDIT: I know some people have strong opinions about this but Iam going to have to ask everyone not to be rude.Synthetic or natural cosmetics?
Your question is very important for which I think you should go online and check this out: http://mydailycosmetics.com/articles

    Enjoy :)Synthetic or natural cosmetics?
I honestly think it depends on the person. For me, natural products are the best. I use all natural makeup and it keeps my skin from breaking out, and my eyes don't itch like they used to; it also doesn't fade on me throughout the day. When it comes to animal testing, yes I think it's cruel, but very few people would volunteer to have something tested on them. I think beauty companies feel they have no other choice, because they don't want everyone having allergic reactions, but humans won't volunteer.
It depends on what the person prefers, I myself use a mineral foundation and have seen improvement in my skin.

Ive used synthetic makeup for about 3 years prior to the minerals. and I was always breaking out, had dry skin.

Also the ingredient list for synthetic cosmetics said it contained Paraben which if you look into it, has shown that it can cause breast cancer.

    Jason Natural Cosmetics Shampoo...Safe?

Today I bought a bottle of Jason Natural Cosmetics Thin-to-Thick shampoo. I am 16 years old and now am hoping that this wasn't just meant for elderly people .. although I don't see how age would make a difference.

Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you have tried it or heard about it... is it good? Is it bad? I wanted to hear a few answers before trying it out.Jason Natural Cosmetics Shampoo...Safe?
Check out this link for a list of Jason Naturals Cosmetics products and their safety ratings. Click on a product, and each ingredient and their safety issues are explained. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/wordsea鈥?/a>

This link is particularly for the Thin-To-Thick shampoo, which seems to have a moderate score; however, the higher threat ingredients are fragrance and salicyclic acid, which are pretty standard ingredients in many products. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/product鈥?/a>

Also, Jason Naturals is a Compact for Safe Cosmetics signer, which means they are tested for safety and must formulate cosmetics to not contain ingredients that are suspected or known to be harmful within 3 years of signing (they signed in August 2005).

Overall, Jason Cosmetics seems to be one of the more reputable companies you can purchase from, when looking for safe quality products.Jason Natural Cosmetics Shampoo...Safe?
I like Jason鈥檚 Natural shampoo, because regular shampoo鈥檚 have a ton of chemicals that may be fine in low doses, but really add up over repeated exposures. Remember your skin is the largest organism on your body and vey capable of absorbing chemicals rubbed on it then they spread through your bloodstream. Also, watch for cheap lotions, they can be bad news too.

What is your best major? Chemical Engineering of course. Those are the people who design, test and create the products. Organic or not they still have to be created and tested by Chemical Engineers.

After that I would look at marketing and think about getting an MBA in that area.

But, if you are going to create anything for the cosmetic or health industry then chemicals are going to be involved and Chemical Engineers are the best at it. Industrial Engineering would be easier, but less applicable. A degree in that field would help you design the machines and systems to create the products. However, the backbone of the industry will be Organic Chemistry.

Okay, you said ten points for the best question: “What kind of products do you want to create?” Saying it is organic is nice, but just because it has dirt on it doesn’t mean it is any better than something man made. In fact man made items will be purer and have tighter safety controls and better manufacturing. The best thing you should look at is to not make a product organic, but to make it basic. How much artificial die and preservatives do you need for your product. Organics claim to not have that, but that only means they are not as good and won’t last as long as the man made stuff. Look at the packaging on your shampoo and try to find out what you can do without. Once you figure that out then you can make better products, and clearly a strong chemistry knowledge will give you the tools to not only understand what those chemicals are, but what you don’t need in the mix.

I remember an old episode of a murder mystery; Colombo. He solved a murder committed by a cosmetic industry giant. She used arsenic that she got from makeup and put it in the victim’s cigarettes so he inhaled it and was poisoned. Do you really need arsenic or cyanide in cosmetics?I want to work for organic/natural cosmetic/health care industry. what major should I take in college?
    http://pubs.acs.org/cen/employment/85/85…
Biochemistry is the major at most schools that would work.

I think both organic and chemical cosmetics are fine to use. its a case of personal preference. a chemical cosmetic can be good because ultimatly the ingredients are natural but hav been altered by man to make them better (maybe worse in some cases). whereas natural organic products can be naturally bad or good. There is both advantages and disadvantages for both. Are 100% organic, natural cosmetics really that safe???

where can i find 100% natural cosmetics (not bath products) locally? What brands are best for eyeliner and eyeshadow that are reasonably priced. Any good hair dyes?100% natural cosmetics?
Definitely try your local health food store or if you have in your area, try Whole Foods. They have many natural and organic cosmetics and hair coloring. Ecco Bella cosmetics are one of my favorite organic cosmetics.100% natural cosmetics?
check the store locator, to see, if there is a whole foods market store near you. they carry many organic brands of cosmetics, skincare, toothpaste, deodorants, hair colors, etc. in all price ranges. their store brand is mineral fusion cosmetics. i've tried many ';organic'; make-up brands, i prefer bare minerals, they are 100 % pure, cheaper, and last longer.
    those are overrated
Bee-Luscious has all natural mineral eye shadows and natural eyeliners. I don't think you will find any ';good'; natural hair dyes though. The natural dyes usually wash out very quickly. But anyway look up Bee-Luscious.
If you want to go natural...your best bet is to not use makeup or hairdyes.

  • Hello! Do any of you girls/women from the UK know any REAL natural cosmetics? like moisturizers? Thanks you!?

I have been doing some research online and found out that most of the cosmetics I am using are full and I mean FULL of bad stuff. And that most of the components in every day moisturizers or anti wrinkle creams do, in fact, age the skin!!

So please recommend me something natural which I can find at drug stores or chemists as I am done buying online (bad experience).

Thank you!Hello! Do any of you girls/women from the UK know any REAL natural cosmetics? like moisturizers? Thanks you!?
Simple are meant to be good cosmetics, they don't contain perfumes or colourings or anything like that.

All I ever use on my face is Astral cream moisturiser, it's brilliant!Hello! Do any of you girls/women from the UK know any REAL natural cosmetics? like moisturizers? Thanks you!?

Lush. And I'm not a girl...
lush, is quite good they have a website with site locations etc - www.lush.co.uk
yes, lush. they can be found online and also on the high street. all products anr natural and very reasonably priced and do work!!

    avocado face mask
Does Arbonne measure up? They talk about being natural and they're available in the UK.
    I personally use Simple.

Simple which is a brand that has no perfumes, no colourings and no additives.

The smell is quite good for having no perfume in it.

But although the smell is quite good it does take a few days to get used to the normal/natural smell of the brand.

    Daily Radience Foaming Cream Cleanser,

    Deep Cleansing Face Mask,

    Really natural cosmetics?

Does anyone know of any online or offline stores that carry natural cosmetics? My skin is super sensitive and breaks out easily. Most cosmetics say 'natural' but are packed with chemicals. Thanks in advance :3Really natural cosmetics?
LAMINERALS.com has great mineral makeup for sensitive skin it gives you a nice flawless look also purminerals.com has great makeup for your skin type I hope I help.Really natural cosmetics?
You can go either cheap and easy, or expensive and hard ways.

    Cheap %26amp;%26amp; Easy

I've found that the best natural products come from Almay. I have skin that breaks out really easily to, and Almay's products seem to be the absolute best.

    Hard %26amp;%26amp; Expensive:

Go to either a Macy's, Geyermans, or Marshall Fields and find a clinique booth. Ask a lady for help. They gave me the best skin products I have ever used in my entire life! Although the prices were quite higher than a normal priced makeup would be, their products actually work and last long. There employees really know how to find the right type of makeup for your skin type. :)

EVERYBODY'S skin is different hun. So really, you have to try whatever you would like to.
Hey, here are some websites I found.

    http://www.allnaturalcosmetics.com/

    http://www.saffronrouge.com/makeup?gclid鈥?/a>

    http://www.100percentpure.com/?gclid=CJ3鈥?/a>

Just a warning though. When I used this Almay foundation with all natural ingredients, my skin got irritated a little. So just make sure your not allergic to anything or something like that. lol. **edit** Since you say your skin is super sensitive, you MAY want to rethink natural cosmetics and go for the makeup that's for sensitive skin.

    Hope I helped. %26lt;3

Some 'natural cosmetics' contain a chemical known as'Sodium laureth suphate'..what is this exactly?

    It's ';a detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste etc.). It is an inexpensive and very effective foamer.';

I don't know what good it does for cosmetics, tho. Some 'natural cosmetics' contain a chemical known as'Sodium laureth suphate'..what is this exactly?
it is basically a detergent. theoretically it could be used in cosmetics to act as a indicator that someone may be sensitive to other products found in the cosmetics and it is not found to be an irritant in quantities lower then 2%.Also it helps removal of the product

Yes, what is your shop called?
Plenty of good advice on using Ebay here.
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pips-Products

Might help if your link worked!
first don't rely just on your store auctions generate people who go to your store go to eBay chat rooms talk to people their about you product people get interested check you out if they like what they see then they later start shopping get some business cards made out have party's and say hey i have a Internet store and you can buy it here and that a good way i use to do shows and gave business cards out with my store on it and got a lot of people was a powersell for almost 1/2 a year then needed a break from eBay because it got to be a lot a lot of work but i am slowly starting back.

i will check your shop out and let friend and family know because i am highly sensitive to some cosmetics and is some of my family members so would be looking for something like yours market on that.

Good luck i hope you take of just remember it summer still and then school starts so it is a slow time don't get to worried.

    again good luck.

Just seen your sight and it is a wondefull job but big but you dont' offer to the states and you should i think you should don't know if it to much or what but if you can i would but you did a good job and again good luck i am in the states though.
Make sure you keep using ebay auctions for a few popular items and create internal links to your shop so people see your shop listed items too (which otherwise don't show up very well).

Find people who will link to your site from relevant pages.
    A good web site

  • We have natural foods, natural cosmetics, so isn't Atheism the natural alternative to manufactured religion

Absolutely.. If only the believers would study the History of Civilization at a University (not a religious one) they would have a more factual account of where our belief in a man who lives in a cloud came from.We have natural foods, natural cosmetics, so isn't Atheism the natural alternative to manufactured religion
Only for the ignorant, but you're free to choose what you want to believe. We have natural foods, natural cosmetics, so isn't Atheism the natural alternative to manufactured religion
As long as there has been any kind of faith in a higher power or supreme being, be it contemporary, or ancient faiths, athiesm probably has been present in some form. I don't believe Athiesm originated with the manufactured religions...as each religion or faith emerged, Athiesm has always been there to contest it.
    Excellent Point!
    not really.

being your own religion is natural. you have your individaul God-spark and you really do not need religion. Listen within and you find your Divinity, your own personal church...treat it with respect for it is natural
Are you kidding? What is natural about believing in nothing? Religion is manufactured, not Faith and Hope. Read the bible and get something to believe in. Getting close to the Maker is as NATURAL as it gets!!!

Merle Norman has developed a line called PURE MINERALS. It is very similiar to Bare Minerals, but it is one product and has more coverage. It is 23 dollars and the container is bigger than the Bare Minerals. Best of all, if you try it and don't like it you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

How to get a ';natural'; look with mac cosmetics?

I was wondering which products from mac are the most necessary to have and which will help in getting the ';natural look';?

thank you for your help :)How to get a ';natural'; look with mac cosmetics?
Get foundation, concealer and loose powder that suits your skin type and skin tone

Get a brown pink powder blush (trust me this looks better than bronzer)

MAC eyeshadow used as a brow colour . Eyeshadows that match your eyelid colour but leaves a slight glow.

Mascara that slightly darkens and enhances your lashes.

Lip moisturizer with a tint that matches your natural lipcolourHow to get a ';natural'; look with mac cosmetics?
You should try going to one of their stores and asking for assistance. My uncle works for MAC and he helped me pick out the a whole line for me that complements my skin tone, eyes, etc. They really help, so you could tell them that you're going for the ';natural look';.

I use the eyeshadow power ';Vanilla'; as my base, ';Bamboo'; in my crease, ';Woodwinked'; and ';All that Glitters'; on my lid.

I also use their blot powder and concealer which work really well. You can also get moisturizer or foundation.

And to line my lids i use their ';GraphBlack'; liner and smudge it a little bit to create a smokey look.

Basically though, you should go for what ever complements you, so try going to their stores and asking for advice :)
Foundation is really necessary in getting that dewy natural look, rather than a matte look. Buy Select SPF 15 foundation in your colour. This along with a natural bronzish blush and perhaps coat of mascara will achieve this look.
put moisturizer on not foundation..wait for it to absorb in your pores then with a brush..(sephora has good brushed) u apply the make-up ..the outer face then work ur way in..if u need more coverage just add a light coat.add some bronzer under the cheek bones and mascars and u'll look all natural

  • Affordable natural cosmetics?

I want to switch to all-natural cosmetic products for health reasons. But when I go to the natural cosmetic section in Whole Foods, I'm astounded by the high prices. I remember picking up a tiny bottle of organic conditioner that cost $24.99! Others were more reasonable at around $10. But they were all still so expensive.

Has anyone found some natural skin care/hair care products that are natural, safe, and not outrageously expensive? (I'm not looking for cheap, just reasonable!)

    Thanks!Affordable natural cosmetics?
    Hi,

For makeup, I currently use mineral foundation from everydayminerals.com and found it very awesome. They offer free samples so you should try them first to see if the colors match your skin tone. Their prices are affordable and I am planning to order a customize kit soon.

For haircare, one time I got a natural hair conditioner from Big Lots for $1.50. It's the same kind that sells in natural food stores for $10! The point is you should look for these types of products outside of the health food stores and with luck you'll find some really affordable ones. I am very happy with my hair conditioner (Nature's Gate in Tea tree oil)

Also drugstores like Walgreens and CVS carry their own lines of organic and natural makeup that are $15 and below. For face toner, I particularly like Thayer's witch hazel astrigent. It really tightens the pores and very affordable for its volume.

I hope you'll find reasonably priced natural and organic skincare/haircare products.Affordable natural cosmetics?
herbal essence. seems to be cheap and good quality. and some of chemists own made.
Try bare essentials; I use that, and I don't think it's as cheap as $10 though, it can go up to $18. But that less that $25, and honestly I don't think you'll find make-up (especially specialty make-up) that's much cheaper than that. Hope that helps a little bit! Also, try and google inexpensive natural make-up, and maybe you'll find something on-line! : )

Bare Minerals. it always worked for me. o, and the eyelids thing, just put the cover-up your using on your face on your eyelids!
    Mary Kay works.
    probably Clinique
Nars blush is great. Dear, but really nice. Maybelline Great Lash is cheap and non clumping. For a false eyelash look, Diorshow by CD is my fave. Revlon have nice pressed powders for all skin tones. Good luck :)
    Mary Kay
Almay has a great line of products that I love! And I really don't like make-up at all...I like to look completely natural all of the time.
    CLINIQUE
I dont really think theres a best brand..you should just get whatever color is closest to your skin tone. Personally, I really like the Chanel foundation because it's very sheer. They have a great make up line, only problem is, that it's a bit expensive. But, the quality is amazing and it lasts. So if you're willing to spend the money, you can get stuff from Chanel at stores like Sephora, maybe Macys also.

Does anyone have any recipes for natural cosmetics, makeup or skincare?

Plain yogurt makes a good, soothing mask. You can add some ground oatmeal for a little extra exfoliation and honey for a little moisture.

Mashed avocado or banana with a tsp. of honey make a good moisturizing mask.

Plain whipped egg white will help tighten pores.

You can use plain Milk of Magnesia to absorb oil and tighten pores. Just put a thin layer on and let it dry for 10-30 mins. before rinsing off w/ warm water.

Or you can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.

Or use one of these variations to make a cleanser or mask:

Mixture: 6 crushed aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.

Held 6 aspirin in my palm, and slowly dripped water onto them until they fizzled and dissolved! Once dissolved, I added 2-3 drops of honey into it and mixed it around with my finger. Applied to my face. Keep it on 15-20 mins.

Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.

Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.

    For toner:

What kind of natural cosmetics do you use?

I've been using mineral makeup that is 100% chemical-free (unlike Bare Minerals). The company is Everyday Minerals and their website is http://www.everydayminerals.com . In addition to their all-natural cosmetics, their prices are extremely reasonable and their customer service is great. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for natural cosmetics. What kind of natural cosmetics do you use?

    Hi there

First you'll need to get your list of suppliers. You can try http://wholesale.50webs.org/ , they have up to 90% off retail prices. This is the best place to go for start ups too, as there are low minimum order quantities and thousands of suppliers listed to choose from. Then you'll have to buy a domain name and get some hosting. Advertising is the key, I think google adwords is what you would need. You could even try starting an eBay shop at first to try out your ideas, as these cost hardly anything to start up.
Email rbowen12@windstream.net We have some ideas. Missy
Why draw the line at just cosmetics when you can do 350+ non-toxic products that people use everyday? Check out my website http://ppeterson.stayinhomeandlovinit.com It's a bit vague but request more information and I could get it to you via phone or thru skype with a slide presentation.
